MAKING SOME CHANGES

After disappearing for a little while I am finally back on the blogging scene. As you may have noticed I've made a couple of changes to my blog, the biggest and most noticeable change being the title of my blog. The title has changed from "Blonde Intentions" to my name. I've been thinking about making this change for a little while and no, it was not at all influenced by the opinions of others. Of course, people who know me did tease me a little at first about the name "Blonde Intentions" but I didn't take it personally. The main reason I decided to make this change is because I didn't feel like I was being myself. When I initially started blogging I was inspired by blogs such as Danielle Bernstein's We Wore What, Aimee Song's Song of Style and Chiara Ferragni's The Blonde Salad. I saw how successful each of these blogger's were and tried to make my own blog more like theirs. I was trying too hard to make my blog something it wasn't. Throughout this process I began to loose interest in blogging. I realize now that their success has come from hard work, dedication and originality. So, I have decided to change the name of my blog with the hopes of making it feel more like myself and to regain the passion I had for blogging when I initially started.

This brings me to the next change that I have made. I've decided to make the content of my blog more like discussions and not just talking about what I did in a day. Because, unlike my favourite blogger's I don't have lunch meetings lined up with any major companies (yet), or travel on a regular basis (only when I can afford it), or attend fashion shows and photo shoots (again...yet). Those people have put time and effort into getting to that point in their blogging career and I am still just starting out. In reality, I am a 19 year old girl, living at home with her family in order to afford college tuition. Exciting, right?

I also know how big of an influence social media can have, so I'd rather talk about topics of importance to me rather than boring everyone to death with all of the nothing that I do in the run of a day. Occasionally, if something interesting does happen I will definitely write about it but as for right now I'll stick to other topics.

Now that all of that is out of the way, let's get to the outfit details!

I wore this outfit to a small festival where I live. Basically, Coachella except with Irish music and a quarter of the people in attendance. It was pretty warm out that day so I decided to go with a bodysuit and shorts. I tied the flannel around my waist to put on when it began to cool down later on that evening. Except, it ended up getting REALLY cold and as it turns out, wearing shorts was a terrible idea.
